In ancient scriptures the place is noted as 'Arbuda Mountains', which was associated with Gurjar who used to live here but later moved to other places of both Rajasthan and Gujarat. The history and prominence of this place became less significant with the change of ruling power and later dominance of Mughals and British Raj.

Gujarat in Junagadh Girnar Monsoon Amazing Video 2022
Girnar ropeway is a ropeway located on the Girnar mountain in Junagadh district of Gujarat, India. It is the longest ropeway in Asia. Despite being proposed since 1983, construction began as late as September 2018 due to delays in government approval and court claims. It was built by Usha Braco Ltd. and is now managed by him. It was inaugurated on October 24, 2020.
