Surya Namaskar Yoga Competition Registration 2023-24 and Apply Online
With a new approach to make citizens healthy through yoga practice in the state, for the first time, a state-wide Surya Namaskar Maha Abhiyan has been launched through Gujarat State Yoga Board which will be held till 1st January 2024.
Under which a Sun Salutation competition has been organized in the entire state from 6th December to 31st December. The registration of this competition to be held at the state level starting from village / school and ward level will be done through online link. This registration link has been launched today by Minister of Youth Services and Culture Harsh Sanghvi.
Yoga competition will be organized in more than 20 thousand places in the state
Youth Services and Culture Minister Harsh Sanghvi, giving more details about this, said that yoga competition will be organized in more than 20 thousand places in the entire state and prizes worth more than 2 crores will be given to the yoga contestants. As part of this statewide Surya Namaskar Maha Abhiyan, Surya Namaskar competition has been organized in the entire state from 6th to 31st December. In which the competition will be held at the state level starting from the village / school / ward level. The registration of which will be done through online link.

To participate in this competition, online registration can be done from 06 to 12 December 2023. Village and Napa / Manpa ward level competition will be held on December 15, Taluka and Zone level competition on December 19, District and Municipal level competition on December 24 and State level competition on December 29.
The winner will be awarded
The minister added that the category of the competition has been divided into three parts according to age. In which citizens aged 09 to 18 years, 19 to 40 years and above 41 years can participate. In which category wise winners at village / school / ward level will get cash Rs.101, taluka / municipality / zone level winners will get Rs. 1000 and the first brother and first sister who won at district and municipal level will get Rs. 21,000/- to third brother and sister Rs. 15,000/- and third brother and sister Rs. 11,000 cash prize will be given.
A digital certificate will be given to the participant.
Giving more information, the minister said that the first winner brother and sister to win at the state level will get Rs. 2,50,000/-, third brother and sister Rs. 1,75,000/- and third brother and sister Rs. 1,00,000/- cash prize will be given. Apart from this, all the participants will be given a digital certificate.
Organized programs at around 190 locations at district/metropolitan and municipal level.
The Minister added that after the completion of the competition, a Surya Namaskar program has been organized on 1-January-2024 at Modhera-Surya Mandir, Mehsana in the presence of Lord Surya Narayana, worshiping the Surya Deity through Surya Namaskar with the first sun ray of the new year. In which a grand felicitation ceremony will be held for the state level winners. Not only that, on the same day, programs have been organized at around 190 places across the state at the district/metropolitan and municipal levels. Surya Namaskar programs will be held in which a large number of citizens will participate and worship the sun god to welcome the rays of the new year sun.
