How is light bill calculated ?
To calculate the unit first you get the current consumption unit by subtracting the previous bill unit from the total unit consumption which your meter shows along with KWH In the photo below you can see the current unit and the previous unit the current unit is the previous unit By subtracting the punit you get is calculated as follows.
The unit is calculated using 4 different types of charges which include
(1) fixed charge
(2) energy charge
(3) fuel charge and
(4) electricity charge
(1) Fixed Charge : The fixed charge is printed in the bill and depends on how many kilo volts our connection is.
(2) Energy Charge : In rural areas, energy charge is Rs 2.65 if 50 units are consumed, Rs 3.10 if the next 50 units are consumed and Rs 3.75 for the next 150 units. An energy charge of Rs 1.50 per article is levied for 30 units.
(3) Fuel Charge : The rate of fuel charge varies from time to time and this charge is given in our bill.
(4) Electricity charges : Electricity charges are a percentage of the total of fixed charges, energy charges and fuel charges. The percentage charge is given in the bill.
Now these four charges will be total so we will get the payable amount of our bill. The amount received will be added or subtracted from the amount due or deposited

લાઈટબીલની ગણતરી કેવી રીતે થાય છે ?
યુનિટની ગણતરી કરવા માટે સૌપ્રથમ તમારા મીટરમાં KWH ની સાથે જે આંકડા બતાવે છે, તે કુલ યુનિટ વપરાશ બતાવે છે તેમાંથી પાછલા બિલના યુનિટ બાદ કરવાથી હાલના વપરાશ યુનિટ મળે છે નીચે ફોટો આપેલ છે તેમાં તમે હાલના યુનિટ અને પાછળના યુનિટ જોઈ શકો છો હાલના યુનિટમાંથી પાછળના યુનિટ બાદ કરવાથી તમને જે પુનિટ મળે આ પ્રમાણે ગણતરી થાય છે.
યુનિટની ગણતરી અલગ-અલગ 4 પ્રકારના ચાર્જ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવે છે જેમાં (૧) ફિક્સ ચાર્જ (૨) એનર્જી ચાર્જ (૩) ફ્યુઅલ ચાર્જ અને (૪) વિધુત શુલ્કનો સમાવેશ કરવામાં આવે છે.
(૧) ફિક્સ ચાર્જ : ફિક્સ ચાર્જ બિલમાં છાપેલ જ હોય છે આ ચાર્જ આપણું કનેક્શન કેટલા કિલો વોલ્ટનું છે તેના પર આધાર રાખે છે.
(૨) એનર્જી ચાર્જ : એનર્જી ચાર્જ ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારમાં ૫૦ પુનિટ વપરાશ થાય તો ૨.૬૫ રૂપિયા પછીના ૫૦ યુનિટ વપરાશ થાય તો ૩.૧૦ રૂપિયા અને પછીના ૧૫૦ યુનિટ માટે ૩.૭૫ રૂપિયા એનર્જી ચાર્જ લેવામાં આવે છે. ૩૦ યુનિટ માટે ૧.૫૦ રૂપિયા લેખે એનર્જી ચાર્જ વસુલ કરવામાં આવે છે.
(૩) ફ્યુઅલ ચાર્જ : ફ્યુઅલ ચાર્જનો રેટ સમય પ્રમાણે બદલતો રહે છે આપણા બિલમાં આ ચાર્જ આપેલ હોય છે.
(૪) વિદ્યુત શુલ્ક : વિદ્યુત શુલ્ક એ ફિક્સ ચાર્જ, એનર્જી ચાર્જ અને ફ્યુઅલ ચાર્જના ટોટલ પર અમુક ટકા લાગે છે કેટલા ટકા ચાર્જ લાગશે તે બિલમાં આપેલું હોય છે.
હવે આ ચારેય ચાર્જનો ટોટલ થશે એટલે આપણા બીલની ભરવાપાત્ર રકમ મળશે. મળેલ રકમમાં આગળના બાકી કે જમા રકમ ઉમેરાય કે બાદ થઈ આવશે
