Modi government launches big scheme for Modi cabinet / villages, approval given in central cabinet meeting
A meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Modi has approved a budget of Rs 19,000 crore for the Bharat Net scheme.

After the meeting, Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and Ravi Shankar Prasad briefed the Cabinet on the decisions.
Ravi Shankar Prasad said the Union Cabinet has approved the Rs 19,000 crore Bharat Net scheme. Under this scheme, work will be started to deliver broadband system in every village.
Bharat Net Yojana launched at a cost of Rs 19,000 crore
India has been approved under the net PPP model in 16 states of the country. The total project is Rs 29,000 crore while the Government of India has a stake of Rs 19,000 crore. More than 3 lakh villages will be connected to broadband. This package will come with a total of 9 packages, a player will be given a maximum of 4 packages.
The announcement was made for the power sector
Reforms in the power sector have also been decided at a meeting of the Union Cabinet. Under this scheme, the plan will be sought on behalf of the state governments and the central government will allocate money. Apart from that, the government is also preparing to implement automatic system in big cities.

There are also plans to strengthen the solar system. The old HT-LT lines will be replaced to provide 24-hour power. Also, a recharge system will be introduced for the poor on a daily basis.
