A total of 332 cricketers have been shortlisted from a pool of 997 registered players. The final list has been pruned after the eight franchises submitted their shortlist of players.

It's going to be a mini-auction for IPL 2020, the 13th season of the T20 league that comes after a busy period of trading in which several big names moved franchises.

Not surprisingly, no Indian player is in the highest reserve price bracket -- Rs 2 crore. Only Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Dale Steyn and Angelo Mathews are in the highest bracket.

Robin Uthappa is the only Indian in the 2nd highest price bracket -- Rs 1.5 crore. 3 Indians are in the Rs 1 crore bracket and 9 Indians are in the Rs 50 Lakh bracket. All of them are capped players.

The VIVO IPL 2020 Player Auction list is out with a total of 332 cricketers set to go under the hammer in Kolkata on December 19th, 2019. While 997 players had initially registered, the final list has been pruned after the eight franchises submitted their shortlist of players.

With INR 2 crore as the highest reserve price, seven overseas players – Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Dale Steyn & Angelo Mathews have opted to be slotted in the highest bracket.

Robin Uthappa is the only Indian player in the Auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Other Indian stars, Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan & Jaydev Unadkat have set their base price at INR 1 crore.

Both Tambe and Brad Hogg have played in the IPL at the age of 45 – the record for the league’s oldest player so far.
On the other hand, Afghan chinaman spinner Noor Ahmad, at 14 years, could be the youngest to play in the IPL.
Prayas Ray Barman, at 16 years, became the youngest player in the IPL last season when Royal Challengers Bangalore played him last season.
