Before IPO Company allots shares to institutional investors they get shares a day before the initial public offering (IPO) opens for the public. They are called anchor investors his investment amount is too high more than 100 crore.

if we got a share in IPO then we can sell that share on listing day ..but anchor investors are not allowed to sell their share before the lock-in period is over. mostly which is 30 days after listing.
