The Department of Expenditure has told in a memorandum that the next installment of the allowance will also not be given from 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021. However, DA, DR will continue to be paid at the current rates. The Union Cabinet had approved a 4 percent increase in the DA of its employees, which was increased from 17 percent to 21 percent.
