આજે કેન્દ્રીય નાણાંમંત્રી નિર્મલા સીતારામણ 5મી વખત સંસદમાં સામાન્ય અંદાજપત્ર રજુ કરશે, જેની શરૂઆત સવારે 11.00 વાગ્યાથી થશે. મોદી સરકારના બીજા કાર્યક્ળના વર્ષ 2023-24ના આ છેલ્લા બજેટમાં નાણાંમંત્રી મોટી જાહેરાતો કરી શકે છે. ઉપરાંત આવતા વર્ષે સામાન્ય ચૂંટણી પણ હોવાથી આ બજેટ ખુબ જ મહત્વનું છે. આ બજેટ મોદી સરકારના બીજા કાર્યકાળનું અંતિમ બજેટ હશે. આ બજેટમાં સરકાર તરફથી મોટી જાહેરાત કરવાની આશા છે.

- બજેટ પહેલા રૂપિયામાં આવી મજબૂત, ડોલર સામે રૂપિયો 12 પૈસા થયો મજબૂત : સ્ટોક માર્કેટથી લઈને કરન્સી માર્કેટ સુધી બજેટ-2023ને લઈને ઘણી આશાઓ અને અપેક્ષાઓ છે. ભારતીય કરન્સી રૂપિયો યુએસ ડૉલર સામે 12 પૈસા મજબૂત થયો છે. શરૂઆતના કારોબારમાં ડોલર સામે રૂપિયો ગગડીને 81.76ના સ્તરે પહોંચ્યો હતો. મંગળવારે રૂપિયો ડોલર સામે 81.88 ના સ્તર પર બંધ થયો હતો.
- અનુરાગ ઠાકુર અને જી.કિશન રેડ્ડી કેબિનેટની બેઠક થયા સામેલ : કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી અનુરાગ ઠાકુર અને જી.કિશન રેડીડ પણ બજેટ રજુ થયા પહેલા કેબિનેટ બેઠકમાં સામેલ થયા.
- PM મોદીની અધ્યક્ષતા હેઠળ કેબિનેટની બેઠક શરૂ : બજેટ પહેલા વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીની અધ્યક્ષતામાં કેન્દ્રીય કેબિનેટની બેઠક સંસદમાં શરૂ થઈ ગઈ છે. કેબિનેટ દ્વારા બજેટ-2023ને મંજૂરી અપાયા બાદ નાણાંમંત્રી સંસદમાં સામાન્ય અંદાજપત્ર રજુ કરશે.
- બજેટની કોપી સંસદ ભવન પહોંચી
બજેટને મંજૂરી આપવા PM મોદી અને અન્ય મંત્રીઓ સંસદ પહોંચ્યા હતા
નાણામંત્રી નિર્મલા સીતારમણ સંસદમાં પહોંચ્યા છે. ટુંક સમયમાં બજેટને કેન્દ્રીય કેબિનેટની મંજૂરી પણ મળી જશે. વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીની સાથે સંરક્ષણ મંત્રી રાજનાથ સિંહ, ગૃહ મંત્રી અમિત શાહ અને મોદી કેબિનેટના અન્ય મંત્રીઓ કેબિનેટ બેઠક માટે સંસદ પહોંચી ગયા છે. નિયમો મુજબ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ દ્રૌપદી મુર્મૂની મંજૂરી બાદ કેન્દ્રીય બજેટને કેન્દ્રીય કેબિનેટ દ્વારા મંજૂરી આપવી પડે છે.

The word budget has French origins. It emerged from the old French term bougette meaning "small leather purse."
The first ever Union budget was presented by James Wilson, a Scottish economist and politician in 1860.
The first Union budget of independent India was presented on November 26, 1947 by India's first finance minister RK Shanukham Chetty.
Till 1955, the Union Budget was published only in English. However, this changed in 1955-56 when the government started to publish it in both English and Hindi.
While Jawaharlal Nehru was first prime minister to present the budget when he held the finance portfolio back in 1958-59.
Former prime minister Indira Gandhi was the first woman to present the budget in India.
Former Finance Minister Morarji Desai holds the record for presenting the most number of budgets a record 10 closely followed by P Chidambaram and Pranab Mukherjee.
In 2017, the Rail Budget was merged with the Union Budget and since then, the Budget has been presented on 1 February following the changes introduced by the then Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Nirmala Sitharaman in 2019 ditched the traditional Budget briefcase, instead, carried a Red packet with the National Emblem wrapped with a ribbon.
This time, Nirmala Sitharaman is the first full-time female finance minister to table the Budget 2022.
